X Factor Final Round Up

Published on December 14, 2008 under Celebrity Gossip,X Factor

So the dust has settled, the party has ended, and we’re left to look at another great series of X Factor! The final was explosive, dramatic and perhaps most important of all, entertaining!

There were no great suprised in that Alexandra Burke won – she had been the bookies favourite for most of the live shows – but having said that, all the performances on the night were excellent! If the other two acts in the final, JLS and Eoghan Quigg, don’t get signed up by a record label, i’ll start one myself and sign them!

JLS in particular, the easy on the eye four-piece band consisting of Marvin Humes, Jonathan Gill, Ortise Williams and Aston Merrygold, should be destined for great things! They look like they could plug a gap in the boyband market left gaping since the first incarnation of Take That!

Eoghan Quigg will also undoubtedly have a career as a teen and pre teen pin up – think an upto date Donny Osmond!

But lets not take anything away from the superior voice and singing of Alexandra Burke – she belted out hit after hit, week after week – consistently getting better and better. What makes her story a little bit special is that she was actually turned away from the live show part of X Factor 3 years ago. She made it through to the judges house stage, where Louis Walsh cast her aside!

Well, she’s proved that she really has got the X Factor this time round, and even as I type this, her debut single, Hallelujah, is availble to download, and will be appearing at number 1 in a top 40 chart near you soon! My one comment on Alexandra is that she isn’t Leona – she has a comparable(ish) voice, but there’s something that Leona had that Alexandra hasn’t – maybe its the real X Factor? Time will tell!

So what do we talk about now – well fear not – there’s still one more week of Strictly Come Dancing, and then the Christmas Soap storylines, and early in the New Year we’ll have Celebrity Big Brother 2009 and Britains Got Talent to get our teeth into!!
