The actor’s spokesperson said in a statement that the procedure, which took place on March 13, had gone “extremely well”, reports People.

Williams, 57, was touring with his one man comedy show ‘Weapons Of Self-Destruction’ when it was announced that he needed an aortic valve replacement.

Cardiothoracic surgeon A. Marc Gillinov said: “Williams’s operation went extremely well, and we expect him to make a full recovery.”

The three-and-a-half hour procedure “was conducted to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve and correct his irregular heartbeat,” the doctor said, adding: “A couple hours after surgery, he was entertaining the medical team and making us all laugh.”
