ITV have announced the replacement for Fiona Phillips on their leading weekday morning show, GMTV.

Emma Crosby, the business reporter for Sky News, will take over the role in the New Year, where the 31 year-old will appear alongside Kate Garraway. It is reported that she will earn £250,000 a year to be the new TV morning queen.

Many had expected a more well-known face to be hired, but Emma said; “I am very excited to be joining Britain’s leading breakfast programme and working alongside Kate, who is a great talent.”

Crosby, although very young, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from within media aad journalism.
