Furry Affair

Published on December 29, 2008 under Celebrity Gossip

Opera singer Katherine Jenkins was recently booed by a large group of protesters after appearing at a Harrods Store in London.

Protesters form the ‘Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade’ gathered outside the London store in order to express their feelings on how they felt about the opera stars appearance.

Campaigners claim that the Knightsbridge shop, which is owned by Mohamed Al Fayed, is the only UK store selling imported fur.

“We are gathered here today because of our disgust at Ms Jenkins who professes to be against animal cruelty and the fur trade,” said campaigner John Wilson.

Jenkins commented: “Personally I do not eat meat or wear fur, but people are entitled to their opinions.”
