Coldplay’s Bad Day!

Published on February 19, 2009 under Celebrity Gossip

Chris Martin revealed his bands sadness after missing out on a Brit Award, but raised morale considerably by performing a stunning show with Take Thats Gary Barlow, U2 Frontman Bono and indie band The Killers!

Speaking on stage at a concert in aid of Warchild, Chris admitted: “We just got back from Japan. We lost out on all our Brits.

“It’s been a s*** day frankly, but it’s going to get better for me and for you.

“Please welcome Mr Gary Barlow!”

The pair sang Back For Good together before being joined on stage by Brandon Flowers’ band and the U2 frontman for a rousing rendition of All These Thing That I’ve Done.

The gig, which took place at the newly named O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, started at 11pm after the Brit Awards had finished.

The Killers and Coldplay – who both left the ceremony empty-handed – played crowd-pleasing greatest hits sets of around 45 minutes.
