The singer did not enter a plea for the two felony charges he faces and his arraignment has been postponed until April 6.

After his request was granted, the judge ordered Brown “not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone”.

Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos asked the judge if a “no-contact order” was in place and the judge replied: “Miss Rihanna Fenty does not request such an order.”

Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra confirmed to E! News that the ‘Umbrella’ star did not need a no-contact order.

Etra said: “She is doing well, and she is making sure her rights are protected at every stage of the proceedings. What will happen to Chris Brown is up to the district attorney in court.”
