Simon Cowell has finalised plans for Madonna and Robbie Williams to appear on The X Factor this year, a report claims.

The music mogul was first said to be wooing the stars last month in an attempt to top the 2008 final, which saw Beyoncé performing with show winner Alexandra Burke.

According to The Sun, the programme’s choreographer Brian Friedman has now “blabbed” to friends that Cowell has finally convinced the pair to take part.

A source explained: “Brian is really excited about this year’s show because there are some great artists involved.

“He is proud to be part of it and admires Simon’s ability to attract A-listers.”

It is believed that Madonna and Williams will offer masterclasses to the contestants once the live shows start. Whitney Houston, Rihanna and Shakira have also been tipped to appear.

Gok Wan has said that he wants to go on a date with X Factor judge Simon Cowell.

The How To Look Good Naked presenter revealed that he would like to take off Cowell’s clothes if the pair ever got together, The Mirror reports.

Wan said: “I can’t help myself. I haven’t met him, but I don’t know what I’d do if I did. I don’t care about his high-waisted trousers.

“And no, I wouldn’t like to dress him - I’d like to undress him! He’s a powerful, strong man and it would be nice to spend a little bit of time with him.”

He added that he would like a “sandwich” with Cowell and Gordon Ramsay and admitted that he “flirted outrageously” with the TV chef when he appeared on his programmes.

Alexandra Burke has been introduced to a host of top US music producers as she starts work on her debut album.

The X Factor winner flew out to America earlier this month and has since met with Timbaland, Red One and Jay-Z.

Writing on her Twitter page, Burke suggested that a track with Stargate, who have previously worked with Rihanna and Leona Lewis, could be her next single.

“Oh my oh my! This song is the ONE!! Stargate man… U Guys are just amazing!” she wrote.

The 20-year-old fuelled speculation that she would be pairing up for a duet with Beyoncé after confirming that they had met up.

“Oh my GOD I just met Beyoncé again!! And this time I didn’t cry!! She listened to my songs!! My heart is racing,” she added.

Burke and Beyoncé’s X Factor performance of ‘Listen’ picked up the gong for best moment at the Reality TV awards earlier this month.

Burke, who performed a duet with the singer on the ITV1 show last year, is reported to have been seeking advice from the star and her rapper husband Jay-Z.

Speaking to OK!, an unnamed source said: “Beyoncé is sure Alexandra has what it takes to be as big as Leona Lewis and she’s planning to help her crack the US.”

Burke, who has previously stated her desire to crack the States, is thought to have secured a £3 million record deal with Epic. She arrived in the US to begin work on her debut album last week.

Earlier this month, Burke and Beyoncé’s rendition of ‘Listen’ on X Factor was voted the most memorable reality moment of the year at the inaugural Reality TV Awards.
