The State Of Play star, who married Garner in 2005, told Bang Showbiz that he did not understand why a bed needed to be made during the day.

“It doesn’t hurt anyone for your covers to just lie on your bed during the course of the day until you come back to it and get back in it,” he explained.

“My wife was like, ‘You must have a made bed.’ It’s crazy…Needless to say I lost that fight.

“By the end of it, I was making the bed, ironing it down and telling my kids, ”This is how we make the bed in our house.”

Kiefer Sutherland has been charged with assault after he allegedly headbutted a fashion designer on Tuesday morning.

The actor surrendered to questioning over the incident and a spokesperson for the New York Police Department confirmed that he has been charged with misdemeanour assault.

Reports have suggested that the incident occurred after fashion designer Jack McCollough accidentally bumped into actress Brooke Shields.

Los Angeles City Attorney Frank Mateljan said that prosecutors are consulting with investigators to determine if the alleged assault puts the 24 star in violation of his probation for a drink-drive conviction in California.

McCollough has said that he was subjected to “a vicious, violent, unprovoked assault” by Sutherland.

The actress, who was accompanied by her 15-year-old sister Ali, bumped into her Chapter 27 co-star at the Nylon and MySpace Young Hollywood party in Los Angeles last night.

“Jared came over to Lindsay’s table to get her, and then they walked into the MTV suite together,” claimed an onlooker.

“Inside the private suite, Jared pinned Lindsay against the wall and they looked superflirty. He was whispering in her ear, and their bodies were close together.”

The Mean Girls star, who split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson last month, was alleged to have had a fling with Leto after filming the 2005 movie about the man who murdered John Lennon.

Paris Hilton’s boyfriend Doug Reinhardt has dismissed rumours that the pair were involved in a bar brawl after a man allegedly tried to grope the heiress.

US tabloid reports had suggested that a fight broke out at the H.Wood club in Los Angeles, after a male clubgoer attempted to grab the Simple Life star’s cleavage as she danced.

Speaking to E! News, Reinhardt denied the claims, saying: “There was a fight involved below me but I had nothing to do with it.”

The couple, who reportedly chatted with Jessica Alba and Reinhardt’s Hills co-star Brody Jenner, were spotted leaving the club at around 2am.
