Morgan Denies BGT exploits!
Piers Morgan has denied accusations that Britain’s Got Talent exploits some of its contestants in the early stages of the show.
The judge told The Times that the programme does not encourage viewers to “mock the afflicted”.
Morgan said: “We don’t exploit anybody. If we feel someone is losing it we stop filming. My role in the British one is to be a foil for Cowell. In America I play the villain.”
He added that show boss Simon Cowell “gave me the biggest break of my life after I was sacked”, and described the pop mogul as “smart, rich, an inveterate show-off, a shameless populist”.
Last month, Dancing On Ice’s Jason Gardiner claimed that he would be a better judge for the programme than Morgan.
